Lilian honored their 33rd anniversary by posting old wedding pictures showing her lasting love for Nicholas. Over the years, the William & Mary alumni’s father and mother have created a life filled with achievements, always putting their family first.
Even after spending many years together, Nicholas and Lilian continue to enjoy each other’s company, giving their children a great example of long-lasting love. With that kind of relationship goal set by his parents, Nick for sure wants to build something similar with his future wife.
Besides Nick, Nicholas and Lilian also welcomed a baby girl into their lives. Yes, he has a younger sister named Kaitlyn Dorka, who was born on December 23, 1996, this makes her a year younger than him.

Nick’s mother, Lilian, has made a name for herself in the legal world. She started her schooling at Miami High School and then went to the University of Miami, finishing up in 1984. That same year, Lilian joined the Catholic University of America and got her law degree from there in 1987.
Focusing on her career highlights, Nick’s mom joined the External Civil Rights Compliance Office as its director. After 10 months, she advanced to Deputy Assistant Administrator for External Civil Rights at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
In April 2024, she was appointed as the Senior Advisor for Environmental Justice and Civil Rights, a role she served in for seven months. On October 2, 2024, she shared her retirement news on Facebook.
Similarly, in her retirement announcement, she expressed pride in her efforts to champion civil rights and environmental justice. She wrote,
“Yesterday, I retired from federal service after 37 years—10 at the Environmental Protection Agency and 27 at the US Department of Education. I did my very best on behalf of civil rights and environmental justice. I’m honored and proud to have served this great country that gave our family a chance at the American dream.”
